I just like things that are different to the norm and something that you wont see very often. They have then supposidly engineered all the faults out of what he thought was wrong with the original theoben rifles. Some businessman who loved his theoben rifles bought some of the tooling and the premises from theoben and employed some of the engineers that worked for theoben. Going back to gun choice I have visited five separate shops looking at guns and when asked if I was looking for anything in particular I've said I know nothing about air rifles but like the look of daystate and all have said if I want the best buy the weihrauch hw100 even though they have all stocked daystate and the shop I bought from said that when their current daystate stock had gone they would only be selling them to order as they werecfed up with reliability issues with them so this and the info on here has made my choice much easier, thanks chaps.Дidn't Impact buy Rapid.almost twice the price of a 100 Will probably buy the weihrauch slip as I like the quality of it, also like my brothers harris bi pod and will take advice from here and buy a bottle filling setup after Christmas probably in 7 litre. Only pellets I have at present are AA diabolo field 4.52 and 8.4 grains, these were recommended as a good starting point by the shop. For me it will be the weihrauch hw100 thumbhole.

So far I haven't found anything that comes close in that price bracket, some of the daystate's felt a bit lighter and looked a bit nicer but cost ВЈ400 plus more and dont look any better quality wise and some say they are not great reliability wise either. It's available in carbine and standard length and thumbhole or sport stock and comes with a very good sound moderator as standard. No expert on air guns as I have only had fac and shot guns since the late seventies, have been researching pcp recently for vermin and target shooting and the weihrauch hw100 always gets great reveiws, very reliable, consistently accurate to comp target level and having looked and handled loads the build quality looks typically german and made to last, at around ВЈ750 new it's not cheap but nowhere near as expensive as some.

My local club only charges 50 pence to fill your gun so maybe worthwhile enquiring if you have a local club. I had a couple of ben taylor custom guns on my list aswel but cant realy find much out about them other than they look superb. Ive seen a few weirauch rifles but i dont realy like the look of them. I found a company called impact airguns which look very similar to the rapid and also air arms had some nice rifles. I didnt realise that daystate were unreliable as they always get a superb review online and in the mags. I loved my rapids but having started buying the mags again recently as im staring to get the bug back ive noticed that they are no longer around. Ive only had 3 guns and they were two rapids and an air arms tx200.

Ive never owned one nick but i could happily just sit and look at that one and never use it.

The bsa r10 is good too but again the quality is very hit and miss. Nothing beats it as an all rounder taking into account the price etc.

You can't beat the good old weirauch hw100 tbh. Only airguns I've had to send back for numerous faults. Big heavy bulky things that are a lot of money and poorly made. I've had a couple if the super fancy daystates Stewart and I personally wouldn't waste my money again.
